Cook chicken and 1 cup chicken broth in a slow cooker for 3 1/2 hours with a little salt and pepper.
Remove chicken and shred. You should have around 2 cups of cooked chicken.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a skillet, melt 2 tbsp unsalted butter.
Mix in 2/3 cup chicken broth, cream cheese, heavy cream, ranch seasoning, 1/4 cup crumbled bacon, and 1/2 cup cheese.
Use a whisk and combine ingredients while slowly cooking on low for 5 minutes.
While the mixture is cooking, steam either a frozen bag of broccoli or fresh broccoli in the microwave until it tender to your liking.
Add shredded chicken and cooked broccoli to pan mixture and stir to combine.
Top with remaining 2 cups of cheese and 1/2 cup crumbled bacon.
